I took pictures of the kids right before we left for Zion's and they turned out amazing....well amazing for me I guess. Just cute fall pictures! These are the pictures I took for our Christmas cards because I want to get those finished and out of the way! And I ordered them last night so hopefully I ordered enough! I've been super busy with cheerleading and Clay's been super busy with work (hanging Christmas lights!) A busy November and an even busier December, but we are loving this unusual warm weather and looking forward to Thanksgiving and Holiday things!
We bought Brittley a new chair before our trip and she's had her eye on this pink and green chair for forever and so she was super excited to open this present!
In the first week of November we went to Zion's National Park for a family reunion with the Stanger's & we told Brittley the place was called Zion's National Park.com because she'll always repeat websites if she hears them on TV! Like she'll say, "Mom I want to watch PBSkids.org," or my parents print off Disney Princess Coloring Sheets from the internet and she'll say, "Mom I want to color Sleeping Beauty. Just go to DisneyPrincesses.com," and the funny thing about it is we don't let her on the computer, (she is only 4, but still a terror @ time and we don't trust her with the computer yet!) So she knows all these website names from TV crazy huh?
But Anyways we went to Zion's National Park.com and it was beautiful! I love how everything smells so fresh and clean, and the locals in that area make a lot of money off their souvenier shops and restaurants because it is so remote that all the prices are outrageous because they can be and then they close them up during the winter. What a life huh?
Hike to the lower Emerald Pools
On this hike we were about a 1/2 mile in and Brittley had to go to the bathroom really bad and so we finally had her go on the side of the trail, and of course somebody walked by while she was going......good thing she is 4! I had already been carrying her on my shoulders most of the time anyways, but she peed all over her shoes....so I had to take her shoes & socks off and carry her on my shoulders. Well then I had to go to the bathroom REALLY bad so I was like we are heading back. So I walked about a mile with Brittley on my shoulders the whole time and half of it feeling like I was going to pee my pants! And the funny thing was Brittley was like, "Mom why don't you just go in the trees?" and I said, "Because mommy is bigger and would probably scare everyone if they came around the corner to find me peeing!" I burned probably a million calories this day but hey it was worth it!
